BASIC BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

The Communication
The term "communis, Communico (Latin)," which means "to build togetherness between two people or more.
"Communication" (Everett M. Rogers, 2004) is a process where two or more persons to exchange information to each other, which in turn will come to mutual understanding.

Communication Process

Main elements: Communication Description:
Source: as an information / messages / ideas, often called komunikator, source, sender or encoder.
Message: a form of knowledge, entertainment, information, advice, or delivered to the recipient, often also called the message, content or information.
Channels of communication consists of communication (oral, written and electronic). "equipment or facilities used to move the message" Print and Electronic Media.
Recipient: the target of a message, often called the audience, target audience or receiver.

Description Element complement Communications:
Feedback: the response or reaction to that given by the recipient, can be an opinion, advice or commentator.
Effect: the influence or the difference between what is thought, felt and done by the recipient before and after receiving the message, can be in the form of knowledge, attitudes and behavior.
Environment: situations or factors that may affect the way communication. physical / distance, social, cultural, and psychological dimensions of time (morning, afternoon, evening, or is associated with the season).

Basic form, and Type of Communication Function
Basic form of communication: nonverbal communication (signaling group, body movement, voice intonation, posture) and verbal communication (presented orally or written using a language).
Type of Communication and Function: basically have 3 types (communication with self, between the private and public), but there are 5 types or levels of use (self-, inter-personal, small group, mass, and the public); 8 have the function of communication (information socialization, motivation, discussion, education, culture, entertainment, integration)

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION OF
"Effective communication will occur when the same understanding and encourage other parties to think or do something." Will also help anticipate problems, make decisions, can coordinate the flow of work, supervise others, and develop a variety of relationships.

Factors that affect: credibility (part of the trust, this can occur through the expertise and social status) and appeal komunikator (due to be admired and desirability eg artist),

Communication barriers and the way it (Bovee and Thill, 2003)

Communication barriers: Inter-personal (different perception and language, hearing the bad, emotional disturbance, cultural difference, physical interference) & In Organization (overload of information and messages that compete, filtering messages that are not appropriate, the communication is closed or not adequate).
